Just Stuff

These are the vanilla sugar cookie pops that me and the kids love. so i made some more of them . we used that edible colored spray, they turned out pretty darn good.

Yesterday Myklin wanted to play with her moon sand and this is what i got to pick up afterwards. Although at least you can just vacuum it up. i am not a lover of play dough.

Well Myklin was supposed to have a baseball game on Tuesday, but by the time i parked it started raining. they canceled the game, but i got a good pic of a rainbow.

Any way i guess that's it for today, the kids are enjoying staying up late and sleeping in. and i love having them home. we have been renting movies from netflix, i keep getting ones from when i was little that they of course say they wont like. and then kayson always says " is there a sequel" silly kid.

It's officially summer :)

This is at about 10 pm at Allison's house. They were a little tired. Kayson at the top then Andrew , Clay, Cort, Mitchell, Josh and Jacob.

Here is Kayson's last day of the 4th grade and Myklin's last day of the 1st grade. Man time flies.

My friend Allison and I decided to let our boys have a last day of school party. So the plan was to have them walk to my house and play . Then at 5 they went to her house to play, eat and watch a movie. It worked out wonderfully. At my house they played guitar hero and had candy. They also decorated a sugar cookie pop. At Allison's they played night games and hide and go seek. they also did a scavenger hunt. I am so greatfull Kayson has friends like these, they are such a good group of boys. it's sad they won't all be in the same class next year. while Kayson was doing all of this Myklin was over to her friends house swimming in their pool. when i picked her up she kept saying i went in the deep end mom. what a big girl! I am sad this school year is over ,but glad at the same time. There is baseball, scouts, lagoon, camping, Manti pageant, temple, Fish Lake and everything in between. And Now this morning we're off to Monroe for the weekend. We will help plant a garden and hang out with the fam. Can't wait to see everyone!!

Myklin's 1st grade program

So, yesterday was Myklin's 1st grade program. My parents had just been here last weekend, my mom told Myklin that she didn't think she'd be able to make it. Well Myklin was so sad. So of course my mom came. She got here right before the program and then after we went to dinner and Myklin's ball game. Can I just say how much i love the fact that my mom is my mom and my best friend. It's one of the best blessing I could ask for. She was pretty tired after the game so she stayed the night and left this morning. How many moms would do that? I know I can ALWAYS count on her . It's times like this that i wished we still lived in sevier county. :( But i do love st. George. She is still the mom who will do without so me and my kids can have something . I love ya mom. Any way Myklin's program was cute. I got a few pics, but my batteries went dead, darn it. Here are a few. The one of my mom and Dylan i love, it's them walking to the school. Well this weekend was pretty fun. My parents came down from Monroe and we had them all weekend long. Friday Kayson and Pat went on a church camp out while me, my mom, Myklin and Dylan went to olive garden and Michael's. Then on Saturday we went on a hike and then to cold stone for a sweet treat. We barbecued that night and all fell asleep watching a old movie. We all kinda slept in on Sunday (except Eric and the baby) I got up and made monkey bread, which by the way is so good . I had never had it before. Then we got ready for church it starts at 1 which is hard I'd rather have it in the morning. but am just grateful to have the church in my life and will go at whatever time. it was fun to have my mom go with us to our new ward. The kids are doing a little better with the change ... i think. maybe it's me who is having such a hard time not them. i want us all to feel OK about it and i know whatever the outcome is we will be fine. it really is no different than when you move and then have to go to a new ward, but we didn't move and we miss our friends. We felt so welcome there and comfortable. But i told the kids we'd give the new ward our full effort and we all 3 are doing it. I am so proud of the 2 of them they are such a good example to their mother. Besides it's church we're not there for friends we are there for God and Jesus. not that the friends don't make it nice, i just mean that it isn't the big picture. My parents are coming back on Tuesday for Myklin's 1st grade program and a ball game. It is so nice to have parents that are so supportive and try to make it to absolutely everything my kids do ( big or small) Thanks you guys. :) Here are some pictures of the weekend.

Unknown to me little miss myklin asked kayson to sleep with her. this is what i found.

I am so gald i have proof they love each other. (notice the cast under kayson's head) in the morning i told them and showed them the pics. kayson said"I'm glad you took pictures because i wouldn't have believed you. " i am so gald to know that even though they don't awlays get along, they can be there for each other and comfort one another when i'm not right there. The first picture on there is when they went hiking with rachele and her family a while ago.(i wasn't blogging then )

So today was myklin's first base ball game. She did awesome she hit the ball both times she was up to bat. here is a picture of her running to 1st base. Here is another pic of her as pitcher.Dylan just wanted to climb the chain link fence and eat a snow cone.Kayson and I had to leave a few minutes early to get to his pack meeting. I took my camera just in case he got an award. He got 3!!:) the weebelos sang a cute version to row row your boat. a couple of times ago they sang a cute song called boom chicka boom(my kids love it)well that was our excitement for the day. Oh the kids were happy because then we got to order pizza yum . we love papa johns. (as you can tell my pics aren't in order, i'm trying to figure this all out)

Well we have been busy it seems like , with the end of the school year close to it;s end. We have had scouts, baseball practice, book fairs, and all the other stuff you have to do every day. I'm excited for summer though all the camping, lagoon , and the holiday's in july. I made these cute keys for the articles of faith. they have a key word on the front and the whole article on the back. there is an extra key for their name and for keeping track of the ones they have pased off. Kayson is working on his faith in God award, along with his other scout awards. Today we took the kids on a picnic, when we got home we let them run through the sprinklers. then gave the their real TUB. they kept saying we just got clean mom. um no you didn't. they weren't to happy. today while we were on our picnic we heard a mom yell and i mean YELL (real bad swear words) at her kids. it made me think, how do i sound when i'm impatient with my kids? i don't swear , but i don't want my kids feeling the way i'm sure hers did. i'll think twice before i yell. Also one of my favorite movies when i was young was Mommie Dearest. I had told the kids about her not that long ago. She yelled in the movie at the daughter for hanging her nice dresses on a wire hanger. So she held up the hanger and screamed No more wire hangers! well today when that mom yelled at her kids , Myklin said No more wire hangers (with her hand in the air).I almost peed my pants. well here are some pics.
